If the key can still be inserted into the cylinder and turned, but isn't aligned correctly, then you'll need to flatten it out using the help of a Hammer. Make sure you employ a soft-faced hammer so as not to damage the lock cylinder or key. You can also use the flat end of a pair needle-nose pliers to bend it back into alignment. It may take a few tries to get the key into alignment. If the key is not able to be removed from the ignition cylinder, it is a sign that the teeth have become overly worn and are not connecting the wafers in the lock in a proper manner. In this situation you'll require a new key as soon as possible. You can do this by bringing the stub of your key back to the dealer you bought your vehicle from and asking for the VIN-cut keys that are exactly like your previous key. This is a lot easier and less expensive than trying to bend your current key back to form.
